Welford Park, famously known as the home of The Great British Bake Off, offers visitors a chance to enjoy its beautiful gardens and charming Tea Tent.
Departing the local area, we begin our day with a relaxing journey to Newbury, a charming market town known for its elegant Georgian architecture, riverside walks and welcoming high-street cafés. Enjoy some free time to explore the town centre—perhaps browse the independent shops, wander along the Kennet & Avon Canal, or simply enjoy a coffee in this historic and picturesque setting.
We then continue to Welford Park for a delightful afternoon among its famous snowdrops. Stroll through the beautiful grounds, admire the stunning displays of white blooms, and take in the peaceful atmosphere of this much-loved estate. Afterwards, relax in the Tea Tent—home of The Great British Bake Off—where a warming cup of tea or coffee is included. You may also wish to purchase a slice of their delicious homemade cake to enjoy with your cuppa.
The adjacent Norman church will also be open for visiting, and you can round off your trip with a browse in the gift shop, filled with unique, individually crafted items. A perfect winter’s day out.
